Life onboard the Columbia Queen

Your cabin will be small, with two beds, a desk and chair, TV/VCR, and lockers. Most crew cabins are shared between two people, and have a private bath. Your sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, washcloths, shower curtain, and toilet paper will be provided by the company. Washers and dryers are provided to do your laundry.

In consideration of your roommate and other crew members, you will be expected to do your share to keep your room and common areas neat and clean. Periodic inspections of your room and locker are to be expected, sometimes unannounced.

Well-balanced meals are served cafeteria style three times a day in the crew mess. Beverages and snacks are available 24 hours a day.

The onboard staff often coordinates a variety of social activities for crew members. Depending upon your position, you will likely have time off to visit ports of call. Onboard, mail may be received and sent. Medical care for emergencies is also available.
